…And We Have Adoption Countdown

No longer a foster child but not yet adopted. This is what you call “adoption placement”. It’s basically like living in Limbo. And that’s where we’ve been for the past month or so.

We’ve been told to expect the unexpected and prepare to be unprepared. We had an adoption date at the end of May, and then the unexpected happened: The county court tweaked their calendar to carry out Adoption Days only once a month.

Our adoption date had to be extended by another month, that is if we could even get on the docket.

We are so thankful that there was a spot for us! We now have an affirmative date and time when this child will officially be ours.

I’m praying to God with fingers and toes crossed that nothing changes. Pray along with me, dear reader.

Through all the frustrations that come with adopting, it is well worth it, especially if it means a child can finally have a loving family and home. I’ll soon create a post that will provide you with some options if you’ve ever thought about foster parenting or adopting.

With this said I’ll frequently add a section to my posts about specific children who are waiting for their forever family. Below each image will be a link for more information about each child or sibling group.

Here are a few that are hoping for a home:
